A Scientific Explanation for Good

The biologists are at it again.  In much the same stream as Richard Dawkins' Selfish Gene comes Paul Zak's Moral Molecule - a scientific and psychological explanation for why we do good.  Though Zak himself is no biologist, his latest book explores recent scientific discoveries about oxytocin, a chemical which he claims is "the source of love and prosperity."  If he's right, says Michael Shermer, thoughtful people will have no choice but to rethink their views on morality.

What do you think?  Should biology play a role in questions of ethics and morality?
