Here is a short but fascinating piece of news from ABC about a woman who responded to a violent attacker by reading him Scripture. The woman's counter-intuitive response is itself an amazing thing to consider, but perhaps even more amazing is the man's response. The whole episode certainly gives new meaning to Matthew 5:39 ("turn the other cheek") and especially Hebrews 4:12; even if a Bible isn't literally sharper than a knife, it certainly doesn't seem to lose its power in the face of violence.
